Submission of abstracts and Papers   chi sim

For presentation at the Conference

Abstract submission deadline: 7 May 2012
Please follow the abstract guidelines.

Notification of abstract acceptance: 20 May 2012

Full paper submission deadline: 20 June 2012
Please follow the guidelines for full papers.

Abstracts and papers should be written in English. Papers in Chinese for Conference presentation will also be considered but they should have an abstract in English. All submissions will be reviewed for relevance, originality, clarity, soundness, and significance by at least two reviewers.

It is mandatory to submit the full paper by the given deadlines; otherwise, it will not be published in the Springer book or the Conference Proceedings. Electronic submission of abstracts and papers via the Conference website is strongly recommended. Please submit here. You can also email your abstracts and papers to ict2012@ouhk.edu.hk.

Once the abstract/paper has been accepted, at least one of the authors must register for the Conference. Please note that no presentation time can be allocated until the author registration has been completed. (School teachers who wish to present papers must pay the registration fee in full rather than the special rate supported by the Education Bureau.)

Conference publications

Accepted papers (submitted after 15 March) will be included in an electronic Conference Proceedings to be published by the Open University of Hong Kong. Authors of selected papers will also be invited to submit extended versions for publication in the following journals: (1) International Journal of Innovation and Learning (IJIL); and (2) a special issue on ‘Engaging learners through emerging technologies’ of the journal Interactive Technology and Smart Education (ITSE).
